Taylor-designed covers are new every year. These contemporary standard
covers include a range of cover processes, inks, foils and colors. Some
are specifically designed to display your school's mascot. Others carry
a theme phrase you can develop in the book.
There are two main types of Taylor-designed covers: silkscreen and
lithocote.
Silkscreen: With silkscreen, a design stencil is embedded into a
fine synthetic screen and ink is forced through the screen, transferring
the design to the cover. You choose both the background and imprinted
color so it is unique to your school. This is the most affordable
cover and is available in one or two screen colors. You can easily
add
your
mascot or artwork to a silkscreen cover.
Lithocote: A lithocote cover is printed on a printing press just like
your yearbook pages. This type of cover can include one, two, three
or four colors, and can even utilize other cover processes, such as
foil stamping. After printing, the material is laminated with a glossy
or matte protective finish. The Taylor Lithocote standard covers are
printed exactly as you see them here. The colors can not be changed.
